Q. Do you think the use of plastic bags should be banned?

I disagree. I do not believe that the use of plastic bags should be banned. In terms of convenience, plastic bags are the ideal item for various situations such as shopping, carrying dirty things, wrapping gifts, running experiments in labs, and so on. They have already become daily necessities for a large number of people in the world. We need to find alternatives if those bags are banned from being used. Paper bags, for example, require a large number of trees to replace all the plastic bags. Deforestation and air pollution would be worse because of this action. Instead of banning plastic bags, governments should put money into institutions to improve technology to decompose plastic waste. For the reasons above, I think the use of plastic bags should not be banned. (131)
