Q. Do you think people’s salaries should be based on their job performance?(準1級）
I strongly believe that people’s salaries should be based on their job performance.
I have some reasons to support my opinion.
The first reason is that you could lose motivation to work if you learn that your salary is lower than a person who does nothing at work and is just older than you.
A worker who works hard is usually young and energetic, so if that kind of person loses his or her will to work, it directly affects the company’s benefits.
On the other hand, if a company allows young workers to get promotions and raises based on their work performance, they’ll try to be more efficient and eager to work. That leads to gains in the company’s success.
Therefore, I think salaries should be paid based on job performance.
